Devonport was alive with rhythm and soul this past weekend as Devonport Jazz 2025 delivered four unforgettable days of music, connection, and celebration. From smooth swing to funky grooves, this year’s festival showcased the incredible diversity and talent within our jazz community.
We extend our deepest thanks to all the artists who made this year so special. Our Tasmanian groups and local community talent brought heart and authenticity to every performance – your passion is the heartbeat of this festival.
A special shout-out to our mainland guests:
- Paul Williamson, whose saxophone mastery lit up the stage,
- GrooVe Congress, who brought the funk and filled the room with energy,
- and Hugh Sheridan, whose charisma and vocals captivated audiences.
We were also thrilled to welcome international visitors Swing’It, who brought vintage flair and infectious joy all the way from Norway – thank you for sharing your swingin’ spirit with Devonport!
To our wonderful venues, thank you for hosting and creating spaces where music could thrive. To our tireless volunteers, your support behind the scenes made everything run seamlessly. And to our event partners and sponsors, your commitment to the arts and our community is what makes Devonport Jazz possible.
Finally, to our audiences – thank you for showing up, celebrating with us, and keeping the spirit of jazz alive.
